It's time for me to get back into the swing of things! School starts next week and a bunch of other things will pick up after that (read: music lessons). To quickly recap my summer (I didn't do much, it was a lazy summer): I went to a friend's sunrise wedding (at 6 in the morning, so neat!), spent a week with my Unni doing awesome things like making embarrassing videos of ourselves, picnicking, and going to the humongous Marian County Library and in general, just did whatever it crossed my mind to do (bike rides, especially late night ones, were super fun and never coupled with any remorse or regretful thinking because I didn't have to get up early in the morning the next day!). Here's to enjoying the rest of summer and looking forward to the beginning of fall!

4th of July Fireworks
Happy (belated) Fourth of July! I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend! These pictures are from the Hummel Park firework show. It was amazing! The Hendricks County Symphony played all evening and even during the firework display!

June
My first thought when starting to write this post was, "Today is the first day of June! YAY!"
Then I realized it was 12:50 a.m. Today is now the second day of June. How did I miss the first day? It went by way too fast. Oh well! I would like to wish you a very happy June! (we'll just pretend I said on the first day. An hour late shouldn't make too much difference :D)

Summer List
I've been very busy these past two weeks. There have been music recitals, a play (the Pirates of Penzance, which is very witty), a goodbye party (sadly, a friend is moving to Tennessee), lots of open houses for graduates, and then all the things we do normally. I am very much looking forward to summer. School is over, and right now all I think of when I hear the word summer is endless rest. There are multiple things I would like to do though. Here is a list;
- Picnic
- Hiking at a state park
- Flying a kite
- Berry picking
- Biking on the Monon (we used to walk but now Havalah can ride her bike so I'm looking forward to this)
- Swimming
- Reading Les Miserables
- Making homemade ice cream
- Antique shopping
- Canoeing
P.S. some lazy summer news
